Department of Defense

For eight years, Netstar Systems has provided enterprise level SQL Server and Oracle database and open systems administration support for the Department of Defense. Netstar Systems, Inc remotely supports 9 DoD sites, 40+ enterprise Oracle applications, and thousands of users. The client's corporate data warehouse alone has more than two terabytes of data. Netstar Systems, Inc was selected for its Oracle expertise to manage and oversee all Oracle database environments running on UNIX platforms for the largest financial organization in the world. This DoD client proved the concept of consolidating its information systems and created a centrally located organization to remotely manage these worldwide information systems. Netstar Systems' role quickly grew from providing database/system administration support to development support, business intelligence consulting, data warehousing, web administration, and ePortal architecture and administration. By consolidating its information technology support, this DoD client has more control over IT operations, has optimized its own resources, has saved millions of dollars, operates more effectively, and provides much better customer service to its clients, to include individual soldiers. Related departments and organizations have since decided to follow suit based on DoD's success.

Fortune 500 Financial Services Company

Netstar Systems, Inc provides on-demand SQL Server and Oracle subject matter expertise to a multi-billion dollar financial services company in Dallas, Texas. Although this client contracts most of its IT support to IBM, the client invites Netstar Systems, Inc to participate in tasks such as installations, upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and Oracle/UNIX performance stress testing to supplement the expert support IBM provides.

United States Navy

The US Navy invited Perpetual TechnoNetstar Systems, Inc. to provide remote and on-site Oracle subject matter expertise. By purchasing a block of hours for specialized support, the Naval Academy had on-demand access for expertise and support in Oracle database administration and Oracle Application Server 10g. Netstar Systems was able to provide recommendations and hands-on support to help the Navy install, configure, test, and successfully deploy its Oracle Application Server 10g environment. The client wisely invested its IT budget to get both specialized consulting support and on-demand support. As a result, the Navy is able to provide better service to its soldiers.

Major Utility Company

For several years, Netstar Systems has provided expert SQL Server and Oracle database administration and development support to a major utility company in Texas and New Jersy. Initially, the client sent several employees through Netstar Systems' SQL Server and Oracle database administration training program. Later, the client invited Netstar Systems to provide on-site SQL Server or Oracle database administration in support of the newly trained employees in an effort to better manage it production Oracle environment. Netstar Systems consultants provided on-site consulting and on-the-job training, and conducted a thorough transfer of knowledge that allowed the client's staff to effectively function on its own. Netstar Systems currently provides .Net development and Oracle development support and augments the client's existing Oracle DBA team for special database related issues. Netstar Systems also provides remote SQL Server and Oracle DBA support, maximizing the client's internal IT resources and providing a higher level of proactive support and response time to minimize impact on customers or monthly billing cycles.

Logistics Company

Recently, a local logistics company implemented Oracle on a Solaris (UNIX) platform to support its internal operations. Although the clients data is critical, the systems easily accommodated the data workload and everything seemed to run on its own. A dedicated Oracle database administrator was not required, however, the client soon realized that the database was not being monitored and maintained on a regular basis. In addition to that, the client feared that backups were not properly being conducted and that, in the event of a database failure, its data would not be recoverable. Perpetual Technologies was able to create a solid backup and recovery plan, stabilize the client's database environment, and performs remote Oracle database administration support, employing 24/7 proactive monitoring, as well as maintenance on an as needed basis. The cost to the client is minimal, yet ensures database availability, performance, and recoverability.
